Current Street Projects

Cedar Avenue

The City of Tahlequah and Cook Construction have finalized a bid to begin construction on Cedar Avenue on January 16th, 2023. This project, funded by the 2013 Bond and the CDBG Grant, will span approximately half a mile of roadwork, from Crafton Street to Allen Road.

Barring any weather-related delays, the project is expected to be completed within 200 days and will involve:

  • The laying of new concrete, gutters, and curbs for the 2 lane road
  • Drainage improvements
  • The installation of sidewalks on both sides of Cedar Avenue

Cook Construction will ensure that access to all properties in the neighborhood is maintained throughout the duration of the project. However, there may be times when Cedar Road will need to be closed. The City of Tahlequah will keep citizens informed of any road closures via our Facebook page and City website.

Update 8/22/2023 - Due to weather-related delays and conflicts, the new projected complete date is scheduled for Mid-September.
