You can place 7 bags per pickup, 30-gallon size, and all trash needs to be in bags.

Our hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. only on the second Saturday of each month.

The refuse is taken to Cherokee Nation landfill in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
No tires will be accepted, and lumber must be less than 8 feet. No commercial dumping without prior approval.
Drop-off recycling is available at the transfer station at 1851 North Douglas Boulevard at the South gate entrance.
There is a $10 fee if the appliance is brought to the transfer station. The fee is $20 if the appliance is to be picked up. In either case, no appliances with compressors may be accepted.
The Solid Waste department does pick up brush, but you can drop it off at the center for a fee depending upon its weight. The Street Department handles brush pickup.

Winter hours are from 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and typically start in October, depending upon the weather.
Summer hours are from 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and typically start in April, depending upon the weather.

You are billed through the Tahlequah Public Works Authority on your utility bill.
Rural service runs $12 to $30 per week.
