Communications
The Tahlequah Police Department employs Communication Officers whose responsibilities include answering calls for service, providing accurate information to officers, and documenting daily activity logs.
The Communication Officers are also certified jailers through the State of Oklahoma, which makes them responsible for the inmates care as per the jail standards. Recertification is required annually to maintain knowledge of jailer responsibilities.
The mission of the Tahlequah Police Departments Communications Division is to provide timely, accurate assessment of calls for the citizens while ensuring the safety of the officers.
